Our trip to Rampage started with… waiting. Lots and lots of waiting. After we packed our bags we went to Landry’s house and waited. Some half hour later we were on our way and pumped! After the already-getting-bored two hour drive to the border we started our next wait. Kevin had to check in his camera so my dad and I took a 45 minute pee break in the Duty Free. Finally, out of Duty Free and on the road… for about 45 seconds. Oh great, the border. We’re 3 long haired greaseballs going mountain biking in Utah, taking a stop in Las Vegas. Prepared for the worst, we scooted to the front of the line. Amazingly, he let us through! Miracles do happen! After a brief celebration, we get bored, again. Time for the longest wait of them all.
That night was a long one. Dad and Kevin were rotating drivers through the night, and I’m cursed with having a hard time falling asleep in cars. But time flies, and 24… um… 26 nonstop hours of driving later, we’re in Vegas! 1 van, 1 3-foot long bearded dude, 12 ridiculously hot chicken wings, and a pile of grip gear later, we’re on the road, again, again, again. Now our finally complete band of misfits are heading to do what we came here to do: watch Rampage, shoot an edit, and eat a load of In and Out Burgers.
It was amazing to watch Rampage for the second time. My dad knows some people at RedBull, so I had a staff pass. With a staff pass you can eat free lunch and get free water, which was obviously awesome. The first set of qualies was crazy. Aggy’s bails, Bourdo ripping his sleeves off, everything. The next day was the great thunderstorm. You needed to be there to understand, it was literally the heaviest rain I’ve ever seen. You wanted to go out there and get drenched for fun, but you wouldn’t over fear of getting hit by lightning. Luckily, the rain storm made the dirt beautiful for contest day. After some brief fixing of take-offs, the riders were ready. It was time for Rampage!
The contest was crazy and doesn’t need any explaining because everyone probably watched it on television or here on Pinkbike. It was a great experience. After the contest was when the magic happened, though… it was game on filming. The weather was beautiful and the conditions on the trails still weren’t too dusty. We were filming at lots of super cool places such as the old old Rampage site and found lots of beautiful drops. When we were about to hit them, sadly, the wind came. Now we had a decision to make: to go to our next location, Green River, or shoot this money booter and wait out the wind without having time to go to Green River. To make a long story short, after an hour detour thanks to forgotten camera batteries later, we were on the road.
After a night at a hotel, we hit the road to Green River. Somewhere during the drive we found an area a lot like Green River. There was an insane ridge with a chute, to a hard right corner that was insane! We were just about to shoot it when the sun set. Something to look forward to, I guess.
The next day we woke up nice and early and head straight for the desert. Our first shot was the “
Blue Castle.” After that we headed over to a jump and did some whips and such. That was basically the end of our riding trip to Utah.
Remember at the start this when I talked about the 26 hour wait to Las Vegas? Now I realize 26 hours isn’t such a long time after all. I had a bunch of perfect drops and a never-before-ridden zone waiting for me all the way in Utah, and you know how long I have to wait? About a year. But sometimes, you just have to wait for the good things in life. And that was my Utah trip.
This story ends as it began - waiting.

good luck with your riding mate!
IDK what I's more impressed with, a 12 year old kid that rides a bike better than most adults, or a 12 year old kid that spells & punctuates better than most adults. O.O

This young ripper has a DVO sponsorship if he wants it! Email Ronnie!"
On another note, how long until this kid is competing at Rampage? I'll give it another 5 years.
No offense, but I recommend that you take an autism screening test. You're displaying symptoms consistent with autism spectrum disorder.
1. Awesome vid. Makes me wonder who will win an FMB Diamond event first, Seth or Jackson.
2. People think it is expensive to help your kid get to the next level in sports like hockey… think of how much the family put into making that edit happen for their kid.

(ssssssshhhh)
My shop is trying to get some in stock, but there are none left. I am hoping that changes soon. We are bringing in my daughter's bike as a sample for my boss since the company has nothing left to show.
